Apple’s latest updated iOS version 14 is available for iPhone users, but it is not a good thing for all. The Application Clips, Home screen widgets, and revamped message applications do not work smoothly when the software has some bugs and glitches. If you have updated your iPhone with the latest iOS 14, then you can downgrade your iPhone to the previous version iOS 13.5.1.
Turn off “Find My iPhone”
Before restoring your device, you need to disable “Find My iPhone.” You need to do this when you have ever taken your iPhone to the Apple Store. And then you need to wait until the process is complete.
- Launch the Settings on your Home screen.
- Click on your name that appears on the top of your screen.
- Now click “Find My” then tap on “Find My iPhone” and click on the toggle near the “Find My iPhone” to turn off these features.
- Here you need to type your Apple username and password before turning off “Find My iPhone.”

Connect iPhone to iTunes or Finder
When your IPSW completely downloading, you need to connect your iPhone to your Windows computer or Macbook through the lighting USB or Lighting C port USB cable
Using Finder
If you are using macOS Catalina, then your iPhone will appear as a driver in the location under the Finder. If your iPhone does not appear quickly, then you need to “unlock your iPhone to use Accessories” notification on your device.
When you connect your iPhone to desktop computer for the first time, then you will get a popup on your screen that asks you to “Trust This Computer” and you need to follow the on-screen instruction to do it. You can also see “Trust iPhone” when you click on your iPhone in Finder.
Using iTunes
If your desktop runs macOS Mojave or Windows older version, you need to open iTunes manually. If not, then look on your iPhone lock screen. If you view “unlock iPhone to Use Accessories” unlock your device.
If you have attached your iPhone to the computer for the first time then you get a popup on your screen asking “Trust this Computer.” Here you need to follow the on-screen instruction. Now iTunes asks you to update iTunes.
