How to Fix Yellow Tint Display Issue for Good in Windows 10

Sometimes the monitor gets a yellow tint after installing the Windows 10 updates. If your “Visual Display Unit” has a yellow tint, then it may be an issue with the hardware. Here you only need to adjust display settings on your computer. In this article, we will show you how you can fix this issue.
Turn off Night Light Settings
Here are the steps to follow:
  1. Tap on the Start button on your device.
  2. In the search field, you need to type “display.”
  3. Click “Change Display Settings” to launch the “Settings Window” on your screen.
  4. Toggle off the “Night Light option.”
Update the Graphic Card Driver
A lot of display issues can be fixed by updating the graphic driver, so you need to check for updates of the graphics card driver. One of the simplest and quickest methods is to utilize the driver updates software in Windows, or you can also use third-party updater tools.
Add New Default Color Profile
Here are the steps to follow:
  1. Type the keyboard “colour management” in the search field.
  2. Click “Color Management” to launch the window on your screen.
  3. Choose “VDU” on your device dropdown menu.
  4. Click “Use my settings for this device” option.
  5. Tap the “Add” option to launch the windows on your screen.
  6. Click sRGB virtual device profile on the colour profile option and then click “OK” button.
  7. Now you need to click sRGB virtual device model profile in the colour management option, and then select the “Set as Default Profile” button.
Adjust Color Enhancement Settings
Sometime this issue occurs in your device due to your graphic cards, or else the colour settings may not be the default configuration. So restoring colour settings can fix this yellow tint issue. You can also change colour settings with graphic card settings utility.
For example, to change Intel colour setup, you need to right-tap on the desktop, and click “Graphics Properties – Display and then select “Color Enhancement” to launch options on your screen.
You can also use similar option AMD and NVIDIA control panels, and restore the graphic card settings to default.
Go through the VDU’s OSD Color Settings
Several desktop VDU can also control colour settings. Maybe your computer VDU includes contrast, hue, saturation, and gamma, colour temp and then colour tint features in the OSD menu. So first you need to check if your PC OSD colour setup has changed and make required adjustments.
