LG is Preparing to Launch its Foldable TV in October

After launching its foldable phones, now LG is preparing to bring foldable televisions in the market. It might not come too soon, but LG is planning to do so. The reports of the South Korean media have depicted that the Korean technology giant (LG) is planning for its first model of foldable televisions. We don’t know how LG will introduce its foldable product in the current month, but one thing is clear, if the media reports have stated about it, then it is coming very soon.

The Foldable Television Model

LG loves innovating TVs, and this has made it draw its attention to produce a smart TV with a rotating screen. The device might be named LG Wing. The concept of this foldable TV of LG was shown at a Consumer Electronics Show last year in the US. It had a 65-inch screen that was foldable in an inward direction. It had an OLED screen as its display. The advantage of the OLED screen over others is that it has no backlight, so it can bend or roll freely.

After LG introduced this concept last year at CES, the company now might launch its foldable screen TV this month.

Now you might be thinking about what all this television would be doing? Isn’t it?

Well, it can easily fit inside any of the special television units, like a movie screen or cloth. This TV would have three viewing options. Firstly, it would have a full view; secondly you would be able to fix a state in which only a part of the screen is visible and last, but not least, it would have the view to hide the TV.

This foldable TV of LG would have specifications similar to the other TVs in the LG 2019 OLED series. It would have a second-generation Alpha 9 smart processor and would feature various new display algorithms of the ThinQ AI technology of LG. It would also provide Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s assistance to the users.

The TV offers an HDMI 2.1 screen display alongside support for a high frame rate (HFR). It would have eARC (enhanced audio return channel), VRR (variable refresh rate) and an ALLM (automatic low latency mode). This foldable OLED TV of LG would be equipped with Dolby Atmos so as to offer a better sound experience. This TV is expected to launch by the end of this month.
