Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to Act Alongside Tom Holland in Spider-Man 3

The word on the street will shock you because what is trending on the internet is simply astounding. The upcoming 3rd installment of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will feature all the heroes in the red suit you have seen up until now. It has been reported that the plot planned for Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man film will be similar to the 2018 game Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Tom Holland will, of course, don his superhero suit again for the third time after impressing immensely in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. What is interesting about the third film is the report by FandomWire that suggests that Andrew Garfield and Tobey  Maguire will be appearing in the film.

In case you are one of the rare gems that still have no idea how Andrew Garfield and Tobey  Maguire are related to Spider-Man, let me jog up your memory. Tobey Maguire was the first actor that brought Spider-Man to the big screens. He starred in the blockbuster trilogy of the early 2000s, where he played Peter Parker and was supported by Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane, James Franco as Harry Osborn, and Rosemary Harris as May Parker. Sam Raimi was the creator of the trilogy.

Andrew Garfield was also the face of Spider-Man for two movies, i.e., The Amazing Spider-man(2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). Marc Webb created the reboot of Sam Raimi’s trilogy with the help of the partnership between Columbia Pictures and Marvel Entertainment. Andrew Garfield starred in the film alongside a stellar cast that includes Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Irrfan Khan, Jamie Foxx, Embeth Davidtz, Martin Sheen, and Denis Leary.

It is imperative to understand that Garfield and Maguire’s casting is just a rumor and the only thing that has been confirmed is the inclusion of several other characters from their universe in the script being written for the third Spider-Man film.

Marvel is holding its cards close to its chest regarding their plans for phase 3; however, the signing of Jamie Foxx was confirmed by Marvel two weeks ago, and he is set to reprise his role as Electro in the next Tom Holland’s Spider-Man film.

We have already seen a glimpse of J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson in the final minutes of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Simmons has also revealed in July that he is in Marvel’s phase 3 plans for MCU, and he will make an appearance in the forthcoming Spider-Man film.

The untitled upcoming Spider-Man film will certainly be a fun thing to watch, and the rumor that is now circulating around the internet after Garfield and Maguire news is about the inspirations that the upcoming film will draw from the 2018 animated film Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Tom Holland was recently seen in Antonio Campos’ film “Devil All The Time” alongside Robert Pattinson. He played the role of a disturbed young boy brilliantly and has been critically raved for being one of the few talking points in the film.
