Donal Logue Has Been Cast of Resident Evil Film Reboot

Donal Logue, the actor of Gotham, has been cast in the upcoming movie Resident Evil reboot.

Resident Evil is an action-adventure movie based on a Japanese video game created by Capcom. The first movie was directed and written by Paul W. S. Anderson, which was released in 2002. Anderson continued as producer and writer for the second and third part, Resident Evil: Apocalypse in 2004 and Resident Evil: Extinction in 2007. And he again served as director for Resident Evil: Afterlife, Resident Evil: Retribution, and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.

The movie follows Alice (played by Milla Jovovich), a former security specialist fighting against Umbrella Corporation. The corporation’s bioweapons trigger the zombie apocalypse in the world. Resident Evil is the highest-grossing movie series based on a video game with a gross collection of $1.2 billion worldwide. However, the film series didn’t get positive approval from critics and audiences. The film series got an average approval rating of 29% on Rotten Tomatoes and received maximum B’s on CinemaScore.

Even after the inadequate response from critics and audiences, director Johannes Roberts is ready to create another franchise world. The team first announced the reboot of the franchise in 2018. The reboot series will follow the central storyline of the game. Roberts has already cast a few talented actors for his upcoming reboot. The casting team has hired  Hannah John-Kamen from Ant-Man and The Wasp to play Jill Valentin. For Claire Redfield, the team has cast the actor of The Maze Runner, Kaya Scodelario. And now, the name of Donal Logue has been added to the list of cast.

Donal Logue is an American movie and TV actor. He is known for his characters in TV series like Grounded for Life, Sons Of Anarchy, Vikings, Terriers, Copper, and played as detective Harvey Bullock in Gotham.

In the upcoming movie, he will again play a law enforcement official, Brian Irons, as the chief of Raccoon City. Chief Iron is a police officer who is far from an upstanding citizen. He is known for taking bribes and corrupt nature—Iron begins to cold-blooded murder after suffering from a breakdown in 1998.

However, Brian Irons’ character in the movie Resident Evil is still unclear. He will play a significant role in the upcoming reboot movie. And the team has released limited details so far about the role.

Audiences are waiting eagerly for the reboot series of Resident Evil impatiently. And with the actors like Kamen, Logue, and Scodelario, it seems that the team is ready to create an amazing reboot.
