Attack on Titan is confusing, and it can be frustrating to veteran anime nerds because of its confusing timelines. The series continues to create more questions than answers and delves deep into the show’s insane character development.
A contrasting revelation is uncovered in the first episode where Falco lies on the ground in the war and speaks to himself about flying into the sky. At first, this thought seems completely random, and it doesn’t contribute anything to the show. But on closer inspection, Hajime Isayama is mixing the two timelines with its insane trilogy series and tangible connections between the anime and the manga.
Who is Falco in Attack on Titan?
Falco Grice is the Warrior of the Eldian army and one of the strongest contenders among the five destined to take the Armored Titan in the future. In the current anime timeline, Falco doesn’t have any titan powers. He is fighting the Paradis Island soldiers to terminate the Paradis people and retrieve the founding Titan and Attack Titan, which Eren currently holds.
What does Falco dream mean?
The question that stems from this theory about the Falco flying dream comes from the second episode of Attack on Titan Season 4. After attending the war and winning a small battle against the Paradisians. Falco lays down on the ground, and he reaches for the sky while speaking to himself that he was flying a minute ago. After waking up, Falco and Annie reach for the Paradis soldiers and capture them.
This revelation of Falco’s flying dream was later found out in the latest manga chapter when Falco gains the titan powers, and he fights against Eren and his army of Titans in Eldia. In the manga, Falco has already gained the power of Jaw Titan that he inherited from Porco Galliard. He is also one of the pure Titan in the series, making him a pretty capable titan who can use the Jaw Titan’s full potential mixed with the genetic modification carried out by army leader and Beast Titan holder Zeke Yeager.
In the manga, while saving his comrades from the Founding Titans, Falco develops wings to his Titan body and fly off to safety. One thing that needs to be addressed here is how the anime and manga share the past and future of Falco. It comes as a conspiracy theory as to why Falco had that dream at the start of the series and why Falco could fly in the manga.
It’s genuinely artistic that Hajime Isayama visioned the manga and anime in such a creative way. Mixing the timelines of both the mediums is confusing yet enjoyable to the AOT fans. Although the anime adaptation has premiered only two episodes and there is a chance that fans could pick out an exciting easter egg from both, uncovering so many things that are either missing from the anime or missing from the manga.
