If you looked at the leaked benchmark results of the A14 Bionic chip, you would come to know how much edge the iPhone 12 would have over the Android phones when it gets released.
Even if Apple hasn’t yet confirmed the iPhone 12, we are probably aware of it up to an extent. All hail to the analysts and leakers who are devoted to their work of providing updates of the upcoming devices. Talking of the leaked information, another leaked news has come up which would definitely impress everyone.
Powering up the iPhone 12
Apple devices are continuously improving day by day, especially the iPhone models. The significant factor for the improvements is the chips of the iOS devices.
When the A13 Bionic chip got released for iPhone 11, there was no competitor against it, not even the Snapdragon 865 that powers up a vast number of high-end Android devices.
Now that Apple would be releasing its A14 Bionic, we feel like it will definitely impress the consumers with its capabilities. It is the world’s first 5nm chipset, and it is all set to get featured on the upcoming iPad/iPhone models.
Leaked Benchmarks of the A14 Bionic Chip
Recently the leaked results of GeekBench regarding the A14 chip showed that the chip no doubt is going to be more potent than the previous processors by Apple, the results, however, seemed to be much better than we expected.
A14’s first Geekbench 5 gave results for single-core – 1583 and for multi-core – 4198.
On the other hand, the benchmark of the Snapdragon 865 chip was only 973 for the single-core and 3346 for multi-core. As you can see, there is a vast gap between the A14 Bionic and the Snapdragon 865. This simply means that the A14 chip on the iPhone 12 would help the device in destroying all the Android competitors that are in the race with it in terms of processing speed and efficiency.
The Issue
Even though the A14 Bionic chip on the iPhone 12 makes it amazing, the company has, however, also made some downgrades to it. The recent leaks and reports have stated that the upcoming iPhone 12 would be having cut down on its battery capacity. Apple would cut down the battery of the iPhone 12 lineup to up to 10%. The decreased battery power could hinder the capabilities of the A14 Bionic chip.
